This same problem apparently occurs with the PC/Steam version as well as the Xbox/PS4 versions of the game(s). After doing a little research on various web sites & forums, this appears toīe a known issue with NBA 2k18 (& reportedly 2k16/2k17 as well, though I haven't tried those yet). I have deleted & reinstalled the game from the disc & continue to experience the same problem over & over. The screen indicates "Press A to Continue", but this does nothing. It will NOT download updates or boot into the The basic problem is this: 2k18 gets "stuck" at the screen indefinitely. " Thank you in advance for your help with this problem. I fully expect 2k to do nothing to help me, but I said the following in my support ticket this morning: Microsoft really needs to step in here & 1) put a stop to this game being sold on the XBL marketplace (same goes for Valve, Sony, & Nintendo) & 2) Offer some sort of credit compensation to gamers who have been ripped off.
2K is such a piece of **** company in multiple ways, but this What they are doing here is clearly illegal, but it would require a class action to force their hand.

EveryoneĮlse who plays the offline version can apparently go screw themselves after a couple years. But they are banking on the fact that not enough people care about older versions since they've turned this series into annualized trash & they clearly only care about the MyPlayer/MyTeam whales who drop mega bucks on the latest version. It looks like 2k is basically giving the 2K community the finger with this move.if you happen to prefer one of the older 2K games, well, "too bad". Apparently, people are reporting the same problems with 2k16 & 2k17. Of 2K basketball games may become unplayable over time.
It's disgusting & unconscionable that an entire generation I'm not expecting them to do anything to help as this is obviously a known issue but they want to drive people to their newer games.
